Defence contracts to prioritise British jobs and skills
2026-10-30 · finance
The government announces an Offsets policy under which overseas defence contractors winning UK contracts worth over £50 million must deliver benefits such as jobs, skills, factories or supplier investment to the UK, up to the contract value. A central Offset Authority will agree, value and monitor delivery, and the policy applies to select procurements from April 2027.
